The client version of Espresso ELN is available at no cost, i.e. as freeware, no registration is required. This client version later can optionally be extended towards automatic SQL Server data backup, global searches within the organization, and guaranteed support by utilizing fee-based Espresso ELN Server Licenses (recommended for larger groups requiring a more robust infrastructure).

Download Espresso ELN 3.0

Open the downloaded zip-folder, double-click the installer and follow the instructions.

  

The freely available Adobe Reader is required for viewing embedded PDF files. It is available from www.adobe.com, if not already present on your system.

    

Supported operating systems: Windows XP (32 bit), Windows Vista (32 bit), Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit).

History  Manual local DB backup

In the no-fee client version of Espresso ELN, a regular manual backup back up your local experiments database is advised, since there's no server data synchronization. For instructions, just go to the application's main toolbar and click "Help -> About Manual Backup ...".

The integrated Marvin Sketch editor does not only accept ChemDraw and ISIS/Draw clipboard content, but can also be configured to arrange its toolbars and menus according to these editors. Just use its View -> Configuration menu item to achieve this.
