B) Installation for new users

ChemProject depends on the presence of two freely available external runtime components, which may already be present on your system (see below). The ChemProject installer will automatically detect if they are missing on your system and will ask for your permission to download & install them in such cases.

If you prefer, you can also install them manually before the ChemProject installation, using the links below:

Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0
This component is already pre-installed on Windows Vista. It is the foundation of the current Microsoft development environment Visual Studio. Chances are, that it is already installed even on an XP machine, since many other applications also require it to run. Publisher: Microsoft. Manual download link: Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 redistributable (22 MB).

Crystal Reports Basic for Visual Studio 2008
This is the report engine of ChemProject. It is part of the utilized Visual Studio Professional development environment and is recommended to installed separately. Publisher: Business Objects. Manual download link: Crystal Reports Basic runtime (17 MB)

1) Download the ChemProject Installer (6 MB), then double-click it to launch the installation.

2) If required components are missing on your system, the installer will subsequently ask for permission to download these by displaying the standard end user license agreements (EULA) which can be accepted by clicking the "Accept" button(s), or rejected if desired (which will cancel the installation). These standard components are available at no cost to end users.

3) After completed installation double-click the application shortcut on your desktop to run the application.
