Note: This demo version allows the creation of 25 experiments. This limit can be extended at any time by purchasing additional experiment packs (no need to re-install).

Hardware requirements:
Espresso
will run on all hardware supporting Windows
XP and up. It adapts its graphics animation effects to
the performance of your system.
1)
Install Espresso.
Download the Espresso Installer, double-click it and follow the instructions.
Note: The installer will check for the presence of three required standard components (Microsoft .NET Framework version 3.5, version 4.0, and Microsoft .SQL Server CE 3.5 SP 2). It will automatically download and install them if not present on your system. - Therefore please make sure to have an active Internet connection during installation.
2) Install Acrobat Reader.
Most likely this freely available PDF viewing tool already is
installed on your PC. If not, or an an alternative tool is
installed, you will need to install Acrobat Reader to
make full use of Espresso, since some functionality is
tailored towards it. You can
download Acrobat Reader from Adobe at no cost.
3) Install a compatible chemical drawing application.
Espresso supports high quality chemical drawing applications which are freely available for academia and home users. These currently include ISIS/Draw and its much enhanced successor Symyx Draw.

Symyx Draw : The enhanced successor of ISIS/Draw 2.5, which also reads ChemDraw files from version 3.2 on. This is the recommended tool. Make sure to use version 3.2 (SP2) or higher (as of June 2010, the current version was 3.3). The colored atom labels can be switched off in the settings. ISIS/Draw 2.5: The classic drawing tool of former MDL (now part of Symyx), the predecessor of the more advanced Symyx Draw. If you currently haven't installed ISIS/Draw, then best install the better featured Symyx Draw instead (see above). A license fee applies for commercial use of ISIS/Draw.
