Version 2.0 (August 27, 2010)
- New: Reaction Substructure Searches
- New: SMARTS Reaction Searches
- New: RSC ChemSpider query link for any compound of the
reaction sketch.
- New: Search by
experiment-ID.
- Fix: Attempts to paste an incomplete
reaction sketch into an experiment are now disabled.
- Fix: A timeout now is implemented for
unavailable internet time servers.
- Fix: A system error occurred when exporting
an experiment not having any materials specified to PDF.
- Fix: Synthesis scheme consistency check now
distinguishes isomers.
- Fix: Expanding an experiment tree node no
scrolls the view to the last item of this node.
Version 1.0.1 - 1.0.3 cumulative fixes (June 21, 2010)
- Fix: [1.0.3] Optimized hardware-ID calculation
for purchasing process.
- Fix: [1.0.2] After renaming a project, a
synthesis or a step, the changes were not refreshed in the
interface.
- Fix: [1.0.2] The event log info area was
not updated when switching to an empty experiment.
- Fix: [1.0.1] After opening or printing an experiment the
material group connectors sometimes were not
displayed.
Version 1.0 (June 13, 2010)
- New: Installation of 3rd party tool PDFCreator
tool is no more required. Experiment and attachment are
exported to PDF using built-in and even faster code (no
more PDF print driver required).
- New: Direct export of summary synthesis scheme to PDF.
- New: Now also runs on 64 bit version of Windows
7 (possibly also Vista 64 bit, but not tested).
- New: When in experiment zoom, a label
now informs about zoom out and document pan control.
- New: Moved lock icon moved from the
header area to the reaction sketch area for better
visibility.
- New: Added additional backup dialog info to map
network drives before selecting as backup location.
- New: The experiments database now is auto-compacted.
- New: The resolution of imported images is automatically reduced to twice the width
of their current display area.
- New: Recovery Mode: Pressing
SHIFT
during Espresso startup checks database
integrity and restores or repairs it if required
- New: Automatic periodic health checks for
main and backup experiments databases.
- New: Extended help documentation.
- Fix: Experiment scaling: If only the
scaling unit was changed, but not the amount, the
original amount in grams was wrongly taken as the new
amount associated to the new unit.
- Fix: After dropping a WMF or EMF file and not
resizing it, the experiment could not be opened the next
time.
- Fix: When several portions of reference
starting material were applied, they all displayed the
default 1.00 equiv instead of corresponding fractions
(calculations still were ok, though).
- Fix: When the reference starting material
was specified in mol or mmol, the experiment could not
be saved.
- Fix: The backup experiment
database could not be compacted.
- Fix: The link in the info center warning
item "quota expired" was not active.
- Fix: After sorting the experiment tree
items (yield, scale, name), the view scrolled to make
the current experiment item visible. Now the view
remains fixed after scrolling.
- Fix: Size of dropdown menu items globally
increased.
- Fix: Improved zoom cursor behavior.
Release Candidate (April 24, 2010)
- New: Synthesis Summary now integrated into
main user interface, includes overall yield.
- New: Text and icon display quality
massively improved - no more fuzzy characters and icons.
- New: Automatic data backup synchronization
avai lable.
- New: Settings: Resource demanding
animations can be switched off for low-end systems.
- New: Info Panel introduced: Quick links,
warnings, pending items, information items.
- New: Auto-selection of condition ranges and
associated conditions graph.
- New: Shopping cart items now display the
number of materials they summarize.
- New: Check for updates on the Web.
- Fix: Experiments now open much faster.
- Fix: The reaction sketch is checked for
invalid or unknown elements before pasting.
- Fix: The reaction sketch is checked for
consistency with synthesis scheme and compatibility with
step reaction scheme before being pasted.
Beta Release Hotfix 1 (August
22, 2009)
- Fix: After pasting a reaction sketch in the unsupported
ChemDraw format, the application crashed during
the next startup. Fix: Attempted pasting in unsupported
formats (currently only ISIS/Draw and Symyx Draw are
supported) is canceled with an error message.
- Fix: During startup a message appeared that ISIS/Draw was
not installed, even if it was installed: Fixed.
- Fix: Clicking the grayed out information
label "currently no materials available" in the Shopping
List area resulted in a crash.
- Fix: When only one experiment was present in the
experiment tabs after application start, and its yield
was changed, the new yield was not stored for the
experiment tree display.
